16 listopada rozpoczął się Tydzień Edukacji Globalnej.Hasło tegorocznego TEG brzmi: “WYBIERZ ZRÓWNOWAŻONY STYL ŻYCIA!”.
Edukacja globalna to część kształcenia obywatelskiego i wychowania, która rozszerza jego zakres przez uświadamianie istnienia zjawisk i współzależności łączących ludzi i miejsca. Jej celem jest przygotowanie odbiorców do stawiania czoła wyzwaniom dotyczącym całej ludzkości.
Do aktualnych wyzwań globalnych zaliczyć można:
- zapewnienie pokoju i bezpieczeństwa na świecie
- poprawa jakości życia w krajach Globalnego Południa
- zapewnienie zrównoważonego rozwoju
- budowanie partnerskich relacji gospodarczych i społecznych pomiędzy krajami Globalnej Północy i Globalnego Południa
Aby przybliżyć tematykę edukacji globalnej Wolontariuszki EVS Franziska Globisch (Niemcy) i Suzanna Voskanian (Armenia) przygotowały dla członków Klubu Integracji Europejskiej warsztaty.

On Novemeber 22, which was the week of Global Education we had 2 workshops. Firstly Syuzanna decided to display them a short-term movie called “The Butterfly Circus” about a limbless Australian guy who survived through his shortcoming and succeeded in turning his disadvantage into advantage. The film was really interesting, moving and educational.I was afraid they the students would not understand the main message of the screenplay, but to my great happiness we had a nice and meaningful discussion. After watching the film Fransziska started to make her presentation on Global Warming , where she showed the real danger that the Earth faces in our days.
On 22.11.2013 we had a workshop about global warming – fitting perfectly into the week of global education which took place between 18.-22.11. Global warming, and environmental topics in general, influence everyone of us, and this is why it is so important to make people aware of it. Using presentations, we pointed out some important aspects like the cause of global warming, the current situation and the coming situation. But nevertheless we also concentrated on easy single steps that everyone can take towards creating a better world. Two of these steps are reducing the water consumption and waste production. To illustrate this we used some plastic bottles to create a self-watering system for growing plants.
